Sammy is a comedian and screenwriter from Manchester, England. Starting out, he hosted an interview show with boxers called BLACK CAB BOX CHAT, that aired on Boxnation TV. In 2016 he moved to America to pursue his first love, screenwriting. In May 2018, he graduated with a Master’s degree from USC’s John Wells Division of Writing for Screen and Television.
His first screenplay, FELIX’S BAR MITZVAH was a prizewinner in the inaugural Launch: Million Dollar Screenplay Competition and placed in the Top 3 Comedies of Final Draft’s Big Break Contest. His second feature, RAYMOND’S ROOM, was a Quarterfinalist in the Nicholl Fellowship and earned him a place as a BAFTA LA Newcomer. He writes about unlikely underdogs begrudgingly stepping out of their comfort zones.
